This is a preview of Rivendell, a Tolkien inspired song, this excerpt was made for Radio Rivendell some time back to thank them for the “fantasy music award” in their station. Now it’s been entirely re-recorded with more instruments and full sound and will be shared very soon. But meanwhile I want to share this snippet I just found and had forgotten I had uploaded LOL of the original greeting that will become now a Tolkien-inspired music single.

Have you ever felt or seen a “shadow people” This is one of the illustrations featured in the illustrated music digibook THE UNDERLIVING (http://theunderliving.com/). Dormant in the corner of your eyes, always there always hidden to your sight. I have sleep paralysis and I have sometimes seen what it is called “Shadow people”. I’ve heard of many having similar experiences… Have you ever had an encounter with the “shadow” ones? Not saying they are real, in fact most of sleep paralysis experiences and lucid dreaming experiences are explainable with scientific physiological terms but I would love to know about your experiences  and if any of you have sleep paralysis (which inspires quite a lot of my own music) feel free to share your experience

Little video of our rehearsal yesterday. Me and Iuliam improvising with low whistle and flute over my song Through the Long Way.  I want to plot a livestream online concert soon so stay tuned. Jamming is fun!

Art has value. My dose of rat cuteness of the day. My rat Tuula wanted to defend art and music (maybe because her mum is musician/illustrator and cope daily with piracy and non remunerated art job offers). Support art, specially independent small acts. We do need the encouragement of your support. And though she couldn´t speak she had something to say :) to help me :) Thank you my sweet Tuula, and by the way you’re an amazing big “tiny” artist yourself

My rats do love music and they always pay attention to me when we are rehearsing. I was singing and playing the piano and they were staring at me with those cute faces. They particularly like stringed instruments like kanteles, psalteries and harps.

Just sharing a video of me making my artworks. I was just putting order in my youtube channel and saw this again, all the works belong to my second and illustrated music digibook  THE UNDERLIVING the song is “Ode to the silence” one of the instrumental pieces. I saw Totonika (my golden furry hamster) was still alive when I made it, and I’m now all nostalgic.

As I’m working now in a cover of “As the World falls down” another song of Labyrinth, one of my fav fantasy movies, thought to re-share the version I had already made of “Within you” Tribute cover of my favorite song in “Labyrinth” soundtrack (Jim Henson, 1986) performed live on voice and pad by me. Original by David Bowie (though this is a very different approachment, there is no way to beat the Goblin King so i’m taking another turn to it). This video is dedicated to my friends the Frouds (-worldoffroud.com) who participated in this movie and whose magic vision I’ve shared in Faerieworlds and Faeriecon festivals this year. And all the romantic laby fans that always wished Jareth and Sarah to be together. Original song by David Bowie. Video edition by me, images belong to the movie (c) Jim Henson. This is a tribute to this wonderful movie, no copyright infringement is intended. I do not own (unfortunately) Labyrinth movie (or Jareth’s, damn!) To listen to my own original music you can visit my official site http://yidneth.com or the rest of my youtube channel at http://youtube.com/yidneth

You can listen to the song in the youtube video above, and to support our forthcoming new release please consider to purchase the download from my site :) or from bandcamp.. This song is a bit more uplifting and happier than my usual gothic/atmospheric sound, maybe a bit more fairy than ghost ;-). I really hope you like it.
